Traditionally, pharmaceutical companies have had a Medical Information call center to answer unsolicited questions from external customers. As medical within pharma becomes a more prominent external face of the company, many groups are exploring various channels to connect with external healthcare professionals. Not only are more channels becoming more prominent (or expected), increasing the awareness of MI groups and relevant channels become increasingly important. Measuring the value MI brings to the business in these interactions is often not straight-forward, however the assessment of metrics should always be evaluated. In this course, the audience will see from examples how one company:
- Provided awareness of MI channels and services through external partners
- Developed awareness programs to increase customer interactions with MI to encourage safe and effective use of company medicines
- Evaluated channels and awareness through assessment of metrics
